Walter was a hard working man who was an Autitor with the Coal Board and spent his last working years at Polkemmet Colliery in Whitburn. He retired in 1982.He was a very active man in the Whitburn Community,working for the Forrister Trust and was a founder member of the Whitburn branch of the Probus Club. He served in the Navy and was a respected member of The South Kirk in Whitburn holding office there. Walter was a kind and fair father, grand father and great and father and enjoyed a long and healthy retirement. He also loved his dogs and could untill recently be seen walking Ben around the town.He spent many happy hours in his garden and loved the company of his family.
